The delay caused is not only a subject of debate in media circles but raises
serious legal points. Perhaps she forgets that this investigation was done
on the Orders of Delhi High Court and which in all legality has to be
informed of the action taken against the CEO. It shall also be imperative to
inform the Court of the administrative action taken by Board in view of the
strictures passed against B S Lalli and other officers. In its last verdict
Supreme Court had directed that CEO had to adhere to Rule 5 of the PB Act,
which relates to the supremacy of the Board. Now an officer who has been
found involved in corruption and serious irregularities by CVC in its
detailed findings cannot continue to lead the organization anymore. The
Board shall be setting a bad precedence if it fails to gauge the gravity of
matter and act contrary to CVC
